Everyone has an aura—including you! Your aura is a colorful energetic field around you that’s influenced by your spiritual journey, emotional state, and more. Despite there only being so many aura colors, everyone still has a different aura. The range and placement of your aura colors are unique to you, so no two auras are truly alike. However, some aura colors are rarer than others, depending on how they look or where they shine in your energy field. 

Having a rare aura color doesn’t mean you’re more spiritually advanced than the next person. Your aura changes depending on your current emotional and spiritual state. If you’re currently undergoing an intense realization, transformation, or milestone, your aura will reflect this. So, everyone has a chance to step into a rare aura! The trick is capturing your aura at the right moment. How do you know if you have a rare aura color, and what does it mean if you do? Read on to find out!

Auras are the energetic field around each person, place, or thing. Your spiritual frequency, emotional state, and more influence your aura. 🌟  How Rare Are the Aura Colors & What Does it Mean?

Having a rare aura color depends on two things—the aura color and how often it pops up in your aura. Some aura colors are more dominant than others, so it’s not unlikely for the majority of auras to have the same few colors that make up the foreground of their energetic field. Another aspect that makes an aura rare is the splashes, dashes, and blobs of color that may randomly appear throughout their energetic field. Read on to find out how rare your aura is:

❤️  Red Aura

Red auras are tied with blue as one of the most common aura colors. It’s not unlikely that the foreground, or the majority of one’s aura, is red. Having a mostly red aura means being stable and grounded. The root chakra is activated, providing a solid energetic and physical foundation. A red aura speaks to having immense strength, tenacity, and determination.

Although red is a common aura color, it’s definitely rarer to see this color as splotches, dashes, or orbs in an aura. Red typically appears as a dominant color, so seeing splashes of it in an energetic field is incredibly unlikely. Having splashes of red across an aura means fleeting stability and security. The sporadic splotches of red call attention to the root chakra. Practicing grounding techniques can help anchor this color and eventually make red a more dominant hue in an aura.  

💙  Blue Aura

Blue auras are tied with red as one of the most common aura colors. Similar to red, blue often makes up the foreground or majority of an aura. Having a mostly blue aura means being communicative and honest. Blue aligns with the throat chakra, which signifies that those with blue auras are known for their intuitive insight and honesty. A blue aura indicates being perceptive, forthright, and knowledgeable. 

Like red, it’s also rarer to see blue show up as splotches, dashes, and orbs in an aura instead of blue being the dominant color. Splashes of blue indicate fleeting confidence in truth, intuition, and discernment since it calls attention to a weakened throat chakra. Decreasing stress and strengthening trust in oneself can help ground blue, making it a more dominant aura color as time passes. 

💜  Purple Aura

Purple splotches, orbs, and more usually appear in the background rather than the foreground of an aura. It’s not unusual to see purple mixed in with blue and white auras. Purple also typically appears at the top of red auras to show that the bookends of the chakra system—the root chakra and crown chakra—are working together. Purple shines through to illuminate secret wisdom, intuitive knowledge, and a higher consciousness. Having dashes of purple provides depth and insight to the surrounding colors.

Since purple is a background color, it’s considered rare to have purple as the dominant aura color. In other words, a mostly purple aura is unique! A purple aura signifies a strong third eye chakra and crown chakra. Purple auras are intuitive channelers gifted with creativity, imagination, and spiritual awareness.

🤍  White Aura

White is more uncommon as both a dominant color and a background color. 

A white-dominant aura indicates having an open third eye chakra and crown chakra. White auras are powerful psychics, intuitives, and seers. Someone with this aura is a powerful channel for divine truth and insight. They know before everyone else does because they operate at a higher spiritual level. White auras typically come across as open and calm. They carry a compassionate energy that not only soothes but resets the surrounding energy. 

If an aura isn't predominantly white, then this color likely shows up either around the individual or at the top of their aura. If white surrounds an individual’s body like a halo or force field, then they’re protected by Spirit. If white is at the top of their aura near their crown chakra, then this individual is at the precipice of tapping into their spiritual gifts. White often appears as a background color in purple and blue auras; however, white also pops up as splashes in other aura colors. 

White orbs are probably the rarest depictions of white in an aura, since this represents a spirit in one’s energetic field. Usually, white orbs appear above the individual’s crown chakra. However, white orbs can also pop up throughout an aura. Take note of where a white orb is, because it’s likely connected to a specific chakra. For example, a white orb around the pelvis might suggest a spirit baby hanging out near the sacral chakra. 

🧡  Orange Aura

Orange is uncommon as a dominant aura color. Usually, orange pops up in the background as splashes and splotches across the energy field. Orange typically represents sparks of energy and creativity. The more orange there is, the greater the life force. Orange aligns with the sacral chakra, which represents confidence, sensuality, and passion. If an aura has orange in it, this may mean budding confidence, newfound creative vision, or burgeoning sexual energy. Orange typically lends vitality and inspiration to the surrounding aura colors.   

It’s more common to see orange in red and yellow auras; it's somewhat common for orange to appear alongside green, and rare to see orange in purple, blue, and white auras. 

💚  Green Aura

Green is uncommon as both a dominant and background aura color. Usually, green pops up when the heart chakra is activated, so it’s not unusual to see this color around a person’s chest and shoulders. More often than not, this uncommon aura color arises when someone is going through a healing journey. They might be addressing emotional blockages, jealousy, lack of control, and poor coping mechanisms. Luckily, having green in an aura indicates that the healing is working. A green aura feels more comfortable expressing themselves and being vulnerable. Don’t be surprised if a green aura cries during an aura reading, since they’re feeling all the feels!  

It’s more common to see green paired with yellow and blue, less common for green to appear next to red and orange, and rare for green to show up with white and purple auras.

💛  Yellow Aura

Yellow is uncommon as both a dominant and background aura color. If yellow is in an aura, it’s usually around the individual’s stomach and chest area. Yellow often flanks either side of a person as well. Regardless of where it is, yellow represents an activated solar plexus chakra. One of two things might be happening if yellow is in an aura: 1) someone is working on their self-confidence, or 2) someone is tapping into their inner child. Either way, yellow arrives when it’s time to be playful, curious, and self-assured. This color might even affirm that one’s inner child is healing, especially if they’re making a conscious effort to be whimsical and joyful.

Yellow commonly comes up with green, orange, and even red; yellow rarely comes up with blue, white, and purple.

🩷  Pink Aura

Pink is a rare dominant and background aura color. It’s equally rare to see pink pop up as either or in an aura reading. Pink comes up in an aura when someone is in a vulnerable, tender place. This is a sweet, caring color that affirms the heart chakra and root chakra are working together. Someone with a pink aura might be more romantic and loving—this is someone who yearns! Luckily, they’re also grounded in their emotional expression. Pink is a great aura color to have if someone is looking for a sign to have faith in love, partnership, and romance. Aside from love, pink finds strength in vulnerability.

Pink is a rather versatile aura color, so it’s seen alongside all the other colors. However, pink is more commonly expressed alongside the warm aura colors than the cool aura colors.

🌈  Rainbow Aura

The rarest aura of them all is the rainbow aura, which showcases every color. Rainbow auras are vibrant and brilliant, showing that all chakras are not only open but working together. It takes immense effort to open all chakras, so having a rainbow aura might be affirming if you’re on a healing or spiritual journey.
